Brian is an Honours graduate from the University of Leeds who began his career as a marketing trainee with Kimberly Clark, and moved rapidly through the marketing management ranks of Beecham Foods and then Peaudouce UK until becoming a Marketing Director at the age of 28.

He set up his own DTI-approved consultancy in 1989, handling a wide assortment of SME and multi-national businesses' marketing communication assignments both in the UK and in Europe. Prompted by both client need and market opportunity, Brian set about building a team that could provide clients with fully integrated solutions that included both strategic planning and implementation.

With a host of specialist talent to call on, Brian has developed the concept of the virtual agency with ism, providing the appropriate level of managed input and expertise required by a clients' marketing needs, whether it be a fully integrated solution or a highly specific activity.

A MENSA member with a keen interest in music and its' role in communication at many levels, ism's clients include Letraset, Dymo, TRW Automotive, I.B.I.S. and The Pobjoy Mint.
